EMDR Sussex - workshops and training

EMDR Supervised Practice Day 

1st July, 2023
10am to 4pm (registration and beverages from 9.30am)
 
Venue: The Brighthelm Centre, North Rd, Brighton, BN1 1YD.

The day will consist of three short presentations.  Each will be followed by an opportunity to practise skills in supervised triads.
 
The topics will be:
 
Helen Lea: Working with defensive and resistant parts
Skills to practise: Loving Eyes and Level of Positive Affect 
Helen is an EMDR Consultant with a private practice in Brighton.  She works with adult clients, individual supervisees, and runs several EMDR Supervision Groups.  Helen's background is in Integrative Psychotherapy and CBT.   She has worked in the NHS in a mental health team and an IAPT service.  Helen has completed Level 1 of the Internal Family Systems training.  Her interests include case conceptualisation and working with parts.
 
Jenny Weall: EMDR for performance
Skills to practise:  identifying blocking beliefs, floatbacks, and future templates.  
This year, Jenny is celebrating 20 years as a Clinical Psychologist. Having previously worked in various settings within the NHS, she is currently working with football club, in independent practice with other elite athletes, more general psychology work, and offering individual and group EMDR supervision.  She has been using EMDR since 2005 and has been an EMDR consultant since 2016.
 
Ania Tylunas: Doing Assessment Phase quickly and painlessly, with special emphasis on the Negative Cognition
Skills to practise: Eliciting assessment information in a quick, conversational and collaborative manner.
Ania has10 years experience in the NHS, including as a Counselling Lead; now EMDR Consultant in private practice since 2013; she is passionate about using EMDR with every client.
 
EMDR Consultants helping with the skills practise include: Jenny Weall, Ania Tylunas, Helen Lea, Siri Rasmussen, Maddie Nixon, and Claire Pooley.

6 CPD points awarded.
 
 
You can become a member of the EMDR UK Association after completing Part 1 of your EMDR training.   There is free 1st year membership for NHS employees, regional group or SIG members, charitable sector or public sector workers and trainees undergoing their standard accredited training.
